Our research group is interested in pre- and post-copulatory sexual selection in fish and birds.

We combine behavioural observations with artificial insemination, computer assisted sperm analysis (sperm tracker), molecular paternity analysis and molecular sexing to the following research topics:


- Sperm competition and cryptic female choice in the Guppy (Poecilia reticulata)


- Sexual conflict and sexual antagonistic coevolution in Poeciliids


- Evolution of feather ornaments in birds
